Nia is the Joy of Movement. As an integrative movement concept Nia combines the essences of various dance arts, martial arts, yoga and healing arts. One hour choreographies blend various music styles and will lift you up and inspire you. Nia tones your mind and tunes your body. Each workout brings mindfulness to your dance movement experience leaving you energized, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced. Nia choreography is adaptable to suit your needs and fitness level. Nia is physical training and yet there is no ‘drill’. You ‘power’ as much or as little as you are able to or want to. In that respect, Nia is also Mindfulness training that invites you to sense how you feel on any given day. Each participant is guided by the ‘pleasure principle’, listening to their inner voice and carrying out the moves in such a way that they are healing and benefitting for body and mind.
