Join us for this informative afternoon of presentations and practical information focusing on

How Heritage Works in Ottawa.

Hear and share stories of heritage successes and challenges while learning about the various tools available to individuals and communities who are interested in preserving their local heritage.

In partnership with Action Sandy Hill, this year’s forum will be held at the former All Saints Anglican Church, a designated heritage building now known as allsaints.

Our keynote speaker will be Leanne Moussa, president and founder of All Saints Development Inc. who led the community effort to purchase and adapt the building for new community uses.

City of Ottawa heritage staff will make a presentation about the current Heritage Inventory Project, a city-wide survey and evaluation of all built structures in order to determine which contribute to the city’s cultural heritage value. When complete, the project will result in an easily accessible, online map-based inventory of Ottawa’s heritage resources, replacing the outdated Heritage Reference List.

The Forum will be preceded by an optional walking tour highlighting Prime Ministers’ Row on Laurier Avenue East, another exciting heritage initiative in Sandy Hill. ( Start time and meeting place of the walking tour to be announced soon. )

Event space is limited so pre-registration is required. The registration fee is $10 per person which includes the optional walking tour, a light lunch and refreshments.

You can easily pre-register for the Heritage Forum online using our website’s donation page to make a $10 payment to Heritage Ottawa via Paypal. Please enter “Heritage Forum” in the donation details area. ( Please note that charitable receipts will not be issued for the $10 Heritage Forum Registration fee. )

You can also pre-register by mailing a cheque with “Heritage Forum” in the subject line, along with your name, address, email and/or telephone number to our office at:
