Join us Friday evenings from 7:00 to 8:45 pm in the Guild Room Cafe for Guild Glee: A Just for Fun Musical Experience!

Chris White leads this informal group for people who love to sing or just listen.  Whatever your age, ability or experience, you are welcome to drop by!  You’ll hear well-known folk, pop and country songs, along with songs Chris has composed with musical fun in mind.  There’s no fee to listen or participate, but donations are welcome.

Born into a musical family, Chris White is a songwriter, teacher, event organizer and radio host who loves to connect people with music.  He co-founded the Ottawa Folk Festival in 1993 and served as Artistic Director for 16 years.  Chris leads five community singing groups for people of various ages and abilities.  He also hosts “Canadian Spaces” and “Friday Special Blend” on CKCU FM 93.1 and ckcufm.com.  He received the Helen Verger Award in 2012 for “significant, sustained contributions to folk music in Canada”.  He has released two albums of original songs, and will release a children’s album entitled “Music All Around” later this year.

For more information, contact Chris at chris@folkzone.ca… or just drop by the Guild Room any Friday evening!
