There is humour and a quiet questioning in Meredith Snider’s approach as she seeks to share her observations of everyday moments with her viewers. Her work often holds a magnifying glass to the most simple of routines – for example the repetitive action of chopping a squash – in order to investigate control/lack of control, risk, chance and contingency. An interdisciplinary artist, she expresses her ideas through sculpture, photography and video.

Meredith Snider is a New Brunswick artist currently living in Ottawa/Gatineau where she moved in 2011 to complete her MFA at the University of Ottawa. Her videos have been screened at national and international media festivals and she is the recipient of several awards including a 2016 nomination for the Ottawa Arts Council Emerging Artist award.

Meredith will be leading allsaints first paint workshop in which she will be teaching water colour resist. Our event is for all levels of art experience, from beginners to advanced. We’ll provide you with the supplies necessary so all you have to do is let your creativity loose and enjoy some music, food and wine!
